Hey Everyone!
It’s been two weeks since I started the Sketchbook Shenanigans daily drawing challenge, and I’m very proud of myself for getting this far. I’m usually not a drawing challenge participant, but I think it's because it's just me, and I have control of what I’m drawing, so I’m fully engaged.
Here are some of my favorite drawings from the challenge so far.

I have seen a difference in my drawing so far, I’m getting the hang of my materials and creating processes for myself depending on what supplies I decide to use that day. Layering media is definitely my thing. Always starting with a light pencil sketch, wet media like watercolor or gouache, then moving on to dry materials like colored pencils or pastels, preferably NeoColor2 wax pastels.
Sometimes, even after that initial three-layer process, I may go back in with wet media, especially if the colored pencils that I used are NOT water soluble. That way, the pencils will not bleed from the wet media, which can really create a nice resist texture, depending on the color used.
