Lately, I’ve been feeling blocked and scattered about my art-making. When does this feeling subside? Ugh.

There’s so much that I want to do and try, but at the same time, I want to hone in on one style and medium. It’s hard for me to commit, (typical Sagittarius behavior haha).

How do I figure out what I’m good at and what comes naturally to me?

Sigh. Even though I’ve been feeling this way, I still managed to create. As long as I have an assignment or guidelines, I do fine, but coming up with SOLID ideas on my own is hard for me right now.

Sketchbook Shenanigans last week

these two were not done in my sketchbook but were created from a workshop that I took on Friday where we created winter landscapes and added bit of collage

sketches from a drawing session with Karie Moody (Patreon)
sketches from my YouTube livestream - used references from UnSplash
a visual journal page from Friday

Goals for next week

  • visual journal (almost daily).

  • use my Derwent Inktense Paint Pan set more, and the Graphitint one too!

  • choose one (or more) sketch to use as a reference for a new painting.

Watch my intuitive mixed media collage process

I had no plan, I just wanted to cut and paste, and color. 😊

I gave myself the room to play and not be concerned with the outcome.

I enjoyed this process, I used acrylic paint, painted papers, and Caran d’Ache NeoColor wax crayons, as well as glue sticks and matte gel medium.

Enjoy watching!
