Happy Sunday Everyone,
Welp, we made it to December, and I hope all of you are having a nice cozy holiday season so far. Thanksgiving was quiet and intimate as always, with my hubby and kids and lots of food. ☺️
Last week was my birthday and usually, I’m depressed around my birthday because I used to look at my birthday as an indicator of time… time is running out, or all the things that I still haven’t done, and that despite the time passing, I’m still in the same spot, which is all false.
But this year, I decided to look at my birthday differently and not put so much importance on the time aspect, and celebrate myself for all the good things that I’ve done so far, how far I’ve come in my artistry, and look forward to all the art to come.

SKETCHBOOK SHENANIGANS DECEMBER CHALLENGE
Lately, I have been finding a lot of inspiration from old sketches, and I really want that to be a part of my process, so I’m challenging myself to just sit down daily for 15 minutes and scribble, paint, collage, whatever, in my sketchbook for 15 minutes.
I’m inviting anyone who wants to join and share your creations in the chat.
The challenge:
15 minutes
use any sketchbook you want.
use 5-7 art materials, preferably materials you don’t use often
fill as many spreads as you want/can in 15 minutes
For the entire month of December.
The point of this challenge is to:
get loose and warmed up daily for sketching/painting
use materials that are just sitting around collecting dust
get inspiration and ideas from these sketches to create finished pieces.
Below is my day 1 (December 1)
